Leading Boldly
This fall, we have over 11,000 students attending classes in our school; a record enrollment. We have also brought in a class of 24 new faculty members and numerous additional staff members to support the ever-growing student body. With all this growth we also started the planning for our third building, which will be adjacent to the existing complex. Below I will briefly share with you some of the accomplishments of our faculty and students.

Their startups reach people through community service, providing an innovative product, or helping with how people connect with one another. The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation awarded scholar awards to four UT Dallas students and alumni.
Leading member universities of the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers (GCEC) gathered Oct. 5-7 at The University of Texas at Dallas for the 27th annual GCEC Dallas 2023 conference; they met to network and share thought leadership and best practices for shaping the future of entrepreneurship education
Established in 2018, the Jindal Young Scholars Program (JYSP) is a partnership between the Naveen Jindal School of Management and the Dallas Independent School District that guarantees four year tuition, room, board and expenses for qualified students at five participating high schools.
Nineteen students from the Dallas Independent School District and their families took part in a ceremony at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, modeled after the style and significance of high-profile signing days from the world of professional and collegiate sports.

Outstanding teachers and staff members were recognized recently at Naveen Jindal School of Management Teaching Awards. The awards were presented at the JSOM New Faculty and Staff Welcome and Awards reception Sept. 21 in the Executive Education Dining room.
In 2019, leaders in the Executive Education Area at the Naveen Jindal School of Management revamped its Global Leadership MBA program to maximize flexibility and convenience for its students.

A Naveen Jindal School of Management alumnus has been named the head basketball coach of The University of Texas at Dallas’ men’s basketball team. Jared Fleming, BS’09, MS’10, graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas’ men’s basketball team.
The Naveen Jindal School of Management, in collaboration with the Shanghai Alumni Association of The University of Texas at Dallas, held a gathering July 8 at the Crowne Plaza Silver Star Hotel in downtown Shanghai, China.

Charles (Chuck) Best, a member of the Naveen Jindal School of Management Advisory Council, died peacefully Oct. 5, 2023. Best, who was born in 1931, was the head of several investment firms.
