Jindal School Faculty and Students Gather in Shanghai

The Naveen Jindal School of Management, in collaboration with the Shanghai Alumni Association of The University of Texas at Dallas, held a gathering July 8 at the Crowne Plaza Silver Star Hotel in downtown Shanghai, China. The event welcomed all local alumni, seeking to enhance the bond between the school and its alumni. The occasion afforded the opportunity to exchange past and present experiences, while providing updates on recent advancements at the Jindal School and the University.

A recorded video message from Dr. Hasan Pirkul , Caruth Chair and Jindal School dean, Dr. Monica Powell, senior associate dean, and Caylin Blockley, Jindal School director of alumni relations, highlighted the event. Other sessions included faculty reporting, updates on the university, school academic programming and standings. The program also included social networking sessions and roundtable discussions

Alumni attended from a range of different graduating years, majors and fields. They expressed their pride in the outstanding achievements of UT Dallas, especially the Jindal School of Management, in academics, rankings, innovation and alumni support. The alumni also expressed their hope to continue to maintain close ties with their alma mater and contribute to the future development of UT Dallas.
