New Appointments Help JSOM Keep
Up with Increased Demand
Dr. Hasan Pirkul, Caruth Chair and Jindal School Dean, announced that the following individuals were named assistant deans during the spring semester. In their new roles, they will be enabled to provide the high level of service and engagement with students that has propelled the growth of the Jindal School, thanks to its leadership team.
Assistant Dean, Executive Education
“UT Dallas Executive Education programs excel in educating our students in executive leadership, regardless of industry. To expand and share what we offer, it is key that we market not just the curriculum but the unique networking and growth opportunities and perspectives of our faculty and students. Through a shared marketing vision and ensured academic standards of excellence through accreditation, our goal is for the continued growth and recognition of the Jindal School Executive Education programs.”

“I will work to support student success, improve graduation rates, increase retention and promote student engagement in campus life while increasing student services. I am also excited about working with faculty to develop and support academic policies.”

“My main goal is to drive process improvements, enhance brand visibility and improve the content of our web pages and documentation of our web applications. With a focus on these key areas, we will work toward increasing user engagement, improving the overall user experience and strengthening our online presence. In addition, I am excited to share my expertise in Information Systems and Operations Management, by teaching courses that will help students build valuable skills for their future careers. By collaborating with stakeholders, faculty and students, I am confident that we can achieve these goals and make significant strides in elevating the School of Management’s reputation.”

“As the Director of Global Business, I am committed to providing our students with the best possible education and opportunities. To achieve this, my primary goals are to increase enrollment, promote study-abroad programs, and provide more international experiences and internships for our students. By offering a diverse range of opportunities, we can enable our students to learn from different cultures and gain valuable insights and experiences that will enhance their career prospects. Additionally, I believe that providing mentorship and coaching from industry professionals is crucial to helping our students succeed in their future careers. By working together with our faculty and staff, I am confident that we can achieve these goals and provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to excel in today’s global business environment.”

“We have brilliant, energetic and creative undergraduate students here at JSOM. My research experience with Praneetha Pratapa (2021 undergraduate Information Technology and Systems and supply chain management major), demonstrated what is possible with our students. My goal is to set up an undergraduate business school research program that matches our top-ranked graduate business research program, and I strongly believe that we can generate quality output from our talented students. We will be developing the program in the coming weeks as we define the nuts and bolts of how the program should work. We look forward to getting support from faculty, students and staff as we embark on this ambitious journey that will establish UT Dallas JSOM as a premier undergraduate research institution in the coming years.”
