As the Jindal School continues to grow and adapt, there have been several exciting staffing changes across the school – all made to maintain and prioritize our students’ service and support. The Jindal School is proud to announce several strategic appointments in our Centers, Institutes, and academic areas.
Associate Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Honhon has been a member of the OM area faculty since 2013. Although the Jindal School has had a Diversity Advocate within the school for a number of years, this year, the school created a higher visibility position to better reflect the University’s values and commitments to DEI efforts. In addition to her work as the new Associate Dean of DEI, Honhon will continue teaching in the OM area.
Assistant Dean of Development & Alumni Relations
Bettis joined the Jindal School in 2019 as a Director of Development and has successfully stewarded top donors and built relationships throughout the UT Dallas and North Texas community. After serving as Interim Assistant Dean since the fall of 2021, she was officially named the Assistant Dean of Development & Alumni Relations earlier this year.
Director of the Herbert D.Weitzman Institute for Real Estate
Lynch joined the Jindal School in 2019 as a lecturer. She has served as the Assistant Director of Real Estate Programs since 2020, where she has continued to create opportunities for undergraduates in the real estate industry both at the local and national levels. Earlier this spring, she was named the Director of Real Estate Programs and the Herbert D. Weitzman Institute for Real Estate. The previous director, Dr. Randall Guttery, will serve as the Director Emeritus of the program.
Academic Director of Distance Learning
Goodrich has taught in the Accounting Area since joining the Jindal School in 2002. Over the span of her 20-year career at JSOM, she has been named On-Line Teacher of the Year twice (2004 and 2010) and nominated for the Teaching Award for Inclusive Excellence in 2011. Since the pandemic, she played a keypart in the University’s pivot to online classes and transitioned into this role in the spring of this year.
Academic Director for the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Choi joined the Jindal School as a visiting assistant professor in OSIM in 2011. After helping establish the new Hacking4Defense course in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Defense, she was appointed Academic Director in IIE. In addition to this role, Choi will continue to teach in the OSIM area. Paul Nichols will continue as Executive Director of the Institute.
