Michael Keating

Operations Vice President, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Companies

As operations vice president for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Companies, Michael (Mike) Keating has responsibility for the Subrogation, Shared Services, Estimatics, Total Loss, Personal Injury Protection/Medical Payments Coverage and Special Investigative Units. With leadership experience in underwriting, as well as the company’s Leadership and Development Department, Keating has been responsible for several company-wide programs and has played an important role in leading the company’s claims approach to initial loss reporting. Keating joined State Farm in 1993 and has served in a variety of executive leadership positions. He assumed his current role in 2021.

Keating received his bachelor’s degree in history and political science/government from James Madison University. He holds several industry designations, including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Fellow, Life Management Institute.

Keating is on the board of governors for the National Insurance Crime Bureau and is a member of the board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Collin County. He is married with four children. In his spare time, he stays active and enjoys coaching his children in sports.

Upon joining the advisory council, Keating toured campus, met Jindal School Dean Hasan Pirkul and others on his team, and said that he was impressed by the pride that they have in what is happening on campus.

“I am excited to join the Jindal School Advisory Council as I am a big believer in supporting education and am looking forward to strengthening State Farm’s partnership with UTD,” Keating said.

Chief Human Resources Officer, G6 Hospitality

Mike Moore was promoted to chief human resource officer for G6 Hospitality in June 2021, after holding several senior level G6 positions previously in corporate and field HR, training, administrative services, corporate communications, and recruiting. He joined G6 in 2009.

Moore has more than 20 years of experience in human resources with various organizations, including 13 years at FedEx Kinko’s, where he was responsible for providing strategic and day-to-day operational direction as well as leadership and guidance for field HR functions; and eight years at Levitz Furniture, where he managed operations and training.

A Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional and a certified Professional in Human Resources, Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Management degree from Warren National (previously Kennedy-Western) University.

Moore lives in Atlanta but has spent most of his time in Dallas over the past 12 years, and is very familiar with UT Dallas. Regarding joining the council, Moore said, “I am very honored to be a part of this group and selected to join the council. Our organization has certainly had a strong relationship and lots of alumni here that work for us, so I look forward to be being part of the team and supporting however I can.”

Managing Director – Dallas, Grant Thornton

As managing director in Grant Thornton’s Dallas office, Colin Spreier has extensive experience working with large public clients in the energy and manufacturing industries. He also works with numerous private clients. He has 17 years of experience in public accounting and substantial Securities and Exchange Commission reporting experience, including initial public offerings and capital market activities.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton in 2012, Spreier worked at EY from 2003 through 2008 and at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board from 2008 through 2012. He served as an assistant controller at Chesapeake Energy from 2017 through 2019.

Spreier received a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Oklahoma City University. He is a licensed CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

In his spare time, Spreier has volunteered for many years as an advocate for Junior Achievement, teaching in a number of elementary school grades and programs about money and business.

“I am excited to take over Grant Thornton’s relationship on the council,” Spreier said recently, “and look forward to actively supporting the school. I especially look forward to working with students in the classroom and helping students find internships. The graduates from UTD are impressive, and I look forward to being part of their educational experience.”

Jacqueline Mackewicz

Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition and People Analytics, Texas Instruments

Jacqueline Mackewicz has served as vice president of global talent acquisition and people analytics at Texas Instruments since January 2020. Her primary responsibilities include developing and driving enterprise-wide talent pipeline strategies, setting direction for workforce planning and analytics, and leading a large global organization. Her organization includes sourcing and recruitment teams, university relations, intern and global rotation programs, and systems, technology and people analytics.

Mackewicz joined TI in 2015 and has held multiple roles in human resources and talent development. From 2017 through 2020, she led the global HR team for sales and applications.

Previously, Mackewicz worked for 7-Eleven for nine years, starting in territory sales and progressing into human resources after earning her master’s degree in business management/human resources from the University of Phoenix. Mackewicz also holds a bachelor’s degree in retail and consumer science from the University of Arizona.

Mackewicz is a member of the United Way Tocqueville Society and recently was elected to the Dallas Children’s Theater Board of Trustees.

In joining the advisory council, Mackewicz commented that TI has “partnered with UTD since the very beginning, and the diverse talent that comes from this university is driving innovation and results for TI and Dallas.”

Mackewicz said that being part of the advisory council helps grow the TI-UTD partnership, while collaborating with, and providing support to, the Jindal School specifically.

“I hope to bring a valuable point of view of what we are seeing in the labor market, the talent landscape and the impact and demand for certain programs,” she said.
