Jindal School Announces Teaching and Staff Award Winners for 2023-2024
The Teaching Committee in the Jindal School has determined the winners of the Naveen Jindal School of Management Teaching Awards for the 2023-2024 academic year. The following individuals have been chosen as outstanding teachers of the year:
Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award goes to Dr. Carolyn Reichert, clinical associate professor in the Finance and Managerial Economics Area and director of the MS Finance Program.
Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award goes to Dr. Julie Haworth, an associate professor of Instruction in the Marketing Area and director of the BS Marketing Program.
Outstanding Online Teaching Award goes to Dr. Gasan Elkhodari, an associate professor of instruction in the Information Systems Area.
Outstanding Teaching by an Adjunct Faculty Member goes to Sandy Frost, a lecturer in the Jindal School.
Outstanding Teaching by a Teaching Assistant goes to:
- Hwayoung Kim, an International Management Studies PhD student.
- Yang Zhang, a Management Science PhD student.
Similarly, the Naveen Jindal School of Management Staff Awards Committee has selected the following employees to receive Outstanding Staff Awards:
- Jacqueline Schmitz, an administrative assistant in External Relations.
- Deborah Stephens, an administrative assistant in the Accounting Area.
- Norma Rodriguez, a senior academic project manager in Digital Services & Analytics.
Two of the staff awards are funded by the Jindal School, and one is funded by an anonymous donor.
The winners were fêted Sept. 19 at an awards ceremony in the Executive Dining Room, where they each received a commemorative plaque. Congratulations to all the winners!
